The St Werburghs Community Centre website was a group project undertook by 4 students and myself. Since I didn’t know any of my group members a few group building exercises were undertaken to get to know one another. This helped to bring the group together and allowed us to easily flesh out ideas to get the project rolling. I think this shows that I am able to work within a group if needed and can be a great asset to any team or project.

The project was to redesign their existing website and implement a CMS that allowed them to easily update the content on a regular basis. The project involved weekly meetings with our project host as well as meetings with the general community.

We decided to use ‘Cushy CMS’ to support the website as it is very easy to use and understand, also as they had no money to spend on a CMS we had to opt for a free one that best supported the clients needs.

Take a look at the St Werburghs Website.

Client Testimonial

Chris worked really hard and delivered some great projects while he was at UWE. He is just the sort of student we enjoy teaching and will be an asset to whomever he works with.

-Dan Dixon (Senior Lecture & UWE Module Leader)

Chris worked effectively as a member of his UWE Consultancy Project team with a local community centre, doing thoughtful diligent work, leading to a robust web site that inspires confidence, appears sustainable and has the client on board.

Solid team-working and problem-solving skills were evident in abundance, and the project helped Chris and others develop their communication and project management skills.
